Facilities Engineer

Join our team in Molex GDL as a Facilities Engineer, where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing infrastructure projects that deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable solutions aligned with organizational requirements. In this role, you will support space planning, building systems design, and the execution of facility projects from concept through commissioning.

Our Team:You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to deliver facility expansion, renovation, and infrastructure improvement projects. The team is focused on maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant facilities while supporting operational needs and long-term growth.

What You Will Do:

• Create building, production area, warehouse, office, and support-service layouts.
• Design and coordinate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, sanitary, and HVAC systems.
• Perform capacity calculations, space utilization assessments, and infrastructure planning activities.
• Prepare engineering documentation, technical specifications, and scopes of work.
• Lead facility expansion, renovation, and infrastructure upgrade projects.
• Define project budgets (CAPEX), schedules, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and internal teams throughout project execution.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and project startup activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Support risk assessments, design safety reviews, permitting activities, and regulatory compliance requirements.

• Experience designing and developing industrial facilities projects.
• Experience managing CAPEX projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors and suppliers.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, hydraulic, and fire protection systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to interpret architectural, civil, and electromechanical drawings.
• English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience with CAPEX management and budget control.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing methodologies and space optimization initiatives.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making skills.
