What You'll Do
We are seeking a Senior Electronic Hardware Engineer to reinforce our Lausanne Product Development team. As a key team member, you will join a multidisciplinary R&D team of hard-working and passionate individuals developing groundbreaking satellite communications system technologies. You will design highly reliable analog and mixed-signal electronics that meet the required functional specifications, considering electrical, size and weight constraints, as well as aspects related to airborne environments.
The day-to-day
In collaboration with your project team members, you fully own the whole development cycle of electronic boards
- Design, develop, test, optimize and integrate highly reliable, cost effective, analog and mixed-signal electronics for phased array antennas.
- Drive requirements, architecture and circuit design, component selection and procurement, PCB design, board bring up, testing and design + manufacturing documentation.
- Partner with System, Radio Frequency, Mechanical and Software internal and external experts
- 7-10 years of proven experiences in hardware or electrical engineering, in highly regulated/demanding environments like airborne, space, automotive or medical; Proven experience transferring products from development into production and supporting field issues.
- Experience designing low-voltage, high-current power electronics with low-noise and transient robustness requirements
- Digital electronics and high-speed interfaces
- Concept breadboards, architecture definition, schematics/layout design, simulation, prototype bring-up, design verification, manufacturing documentation, and production release;
- Quality by Design; Design for Manufacturing/Assembling/Testing/Maintenance
- Enjoying lab activities; at ease with various test equipment – oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, vector network analyzer and similar
- Clear and concise English communication skills, both oral and written.
- Lausanne, Switzerland, onsite presence at least 3 days per week.

You are a meticulous, open-minded and well-organized person, motivated to perform multiple tasks in a wide-ranging environment. You enjoy taking ownership of the agreed work and completing it autonomously. When needed, you easily ask for support from our multi-disciplinary engineering team, and collaborate with external partners. Great teammate, problem solver and hands-on engineer, you never hesitate to take the extra step for the team to succeed!
- Analytical; rigorous; strong documentation skills; ability to report on technical solutions and findings.
- Strong knowledge with board schematic, ideally Altium365; experienced in layout a strong plus.
- Co-design with mechanical engineers working on Solidworks
- PCB analysis with Ansys SIwave; LTspice;
- Close collaborations with 20-30GHz RF design engineers, embedded SW/PL design engineers
