About EH Group Engineering

EHG is developing cutting-edge fuel cell technology for heavy duty mobility and large-scale stationary power applications. Our uniquely redesigned product is a significantly more compact fuel cell with high power density and lower costs of production. Faced with the challenges of climate change and the transition to a decentralised energy system, EHG seeks to provide high performance and cost-effective fuel cell solutions to our clients and partners.

To help achieve our vision of a decarbonised future, we are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, integration, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems for our Fuel Cell Power Systems (FCPS), test benches, prototypes, and associated equipment.

This role requires full-time, on-site presence at our Nyon, Switzerland office. We're not able to offer remote or hybrid arrangements, so candidates should be prepared to relocate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, cable and harness definitions, and other electrical documentation
  • Select electrical components (cables, connectors, contactors, relays, fuses, circuit breakers, sensors, actuators) and perform relevant electrical calculations and sizing
  • Integrate fuel cell stacks, DC/DC converters, power distribution, Balance of Plant (BoP), sensors, actuators, and auxiliary systems, ensuring correct electrical interfaces between subsystems
  • Design, integrate, and maintain electrical systems and instrumentation for FCPS test benches, including measurement equipment and test interfaces
  • Perform electrical testing, measurements, verification, and troubleshooting during development, integration, FAT/SAT, and validation activities
  • Support FCPS and test-bench commissioning, diagnose electrical issues at component and subsystem level, and support implementation of corrective actions
  • Integrate electrical interfaces with PLCs, control systems, sensors, actuators, and industrial communication networks, working closely with Controls and System Engineers
  • Provide feedback from testing, commissioning, and field experience to improve electrical designs, documentation, processes, and product reliability

Skills and Experience Required:

  • BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • ~3-4 years of experience in electrical design, integration and testing of industrial or energy systems; more experienced profiles also welcome
  • Knowledge of component selection and sizing (cables, connectors, contactors, relays, fuses, circuit breakers, sensors, actuators)
  • Experience with test bench instrumentation, measurement equipment and electrical troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with PLCs, control systems and industrial communication networks
  • Proficiency with ECAD tools (e.g. EPLAN, Altium or equivalent)
  • Hands-on mindset, comfortable moving between design and physical integration/commissioning
  • Team player able to work autonomously with internal and external experts
  • Excellent spoken and written English/French is mandatory; German is a plus
