Key Responsibilities

  • Own the technical approach, design decisions and engineering standards for the squad.
  • Ensure alignment with LSEG architecture, product roadmaps and existing DevSecOps foundations without duplicating them.
  • Lead code reviews and enforce quality, security and testability standards.
  • Guide the squad through build, configuration, refactoring and integration work.
  • Produce and present technical evidence: build/deployment evidence, test and integration evidence, operational readiness.
  • Mentor squad engineers and pair with LSEG SMEs to enable knowledge transfer.
  • Provide technical input to risk, dependency and decision logs.


Essential Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years software engineering, 3+ years leading delivery teams.
  • Strong hands-on capability across C++, C#, Java or Python and SQL.
  • CI/CD, Git-based workflows, automated quality gates and secure SDLC.
  • Experience modernising legacy systems incrementally in live environments.
  • Track record of evidence-led delivery within enterprise governance.


Desirable

  • Real-time, event-driven, high-volume or low-latency systems; market data or distribution environments.
  • Containerisation, microservices and observability-aware engineering.
  • AI-assisted engineering workflows within enterprise governance.
