Job Title: Electronics Product Design Engineer

Job Overview:
The Electronics Product Design Engineer researches, designs, develops, and tests electrical circuits and products. This position requires a self-motivated engineer who can work independently and collaborate effectively with mechanical, software, test, compliance, and manufacturing team members throughout the product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
· Design custom electromechanical circuits and subassemblies and integrate commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components to meet system requirements.
· Plan, specify, design, fabricate, test, integrate, install, maintain, and coordinate the electromechanical components of a system.
· Analyze system elements, including power, functional performance, temperature, heat, emissions, susceptibility, software interfaces, materials, technologies, and communication devices.
· Create drawings, block diagrams, schematics, printed circuit board layouts, and related design materials using appropriate hardware design tools.
· Generate requirements, perform schematic capture, select components, develop bills of materials, and support printed circuit board layout.
· Design and test prototypes; perform verification; and support product safety, EMC, and other applicable compliance testing.
· Support manufacturing and production handoff, including the development of assembly and test procedures.
· Evaluate vendor products and emerging technologies to identify solutions that best meet client and project requirements.
· Prepare and maintain clear technical design documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
· At least eight years of experience in electromechanical engineering design and verification.
· Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
· Hands-on electronics design experience from requirements and specification development through test and verification.
· Experience advancing a product or design from prototype through production.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work independently, collaborate across engineering disciplines, adapt to changing project needs, and learn new skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with OrCAD, Cadence Allegro, and Altium design tools.
· Working programming knowledge and the ability to create scripts or simple programs, including Excel macros or MATLAB scripts.
· Experience with microprocessors, analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), digital-to-analog converters (DACs), high-speed digital design, and analog front-end design.
· Master's degree in electrical engineering.
· FPGA design experience.
· Medical device development experience.
· Experience supporting compliance testing to applicable product safety and EMC standards, including IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2, legacy IEC 60950, and IEC/UL 62368-1.
· Knowledge of RoHS, REACH, and applicable battery compliance standards.
