Principal Electrical Engineer Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for electrical engineering across multiple product lines
  • Lead complex PCB design and electrical system architecture decisions
  • Design, test, and validate systems to meet EMI/EMC and regulatory standards
  • Partner cross-functionally with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineering team members
  • Contribute to long-term product strategy and innovation initiatives
  • Support troubleshooting, validation, and continuous improvement efforts

Principal Electrical Engineer Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering within a product-based environment
  • Proven experience designing complex PCB systems
  • Strong understanding of EMI/EMC standards and testing processes
  • Experience working across the full product lifecycle, from concept through production
  • Ability to operate at both a hands-on and strategic level
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across teams
  • Experience in medical devices or regulated environments is a plus
