The Job:
7 Oaks Engineering is seeking a motivated and talented Civil Design Engineer to join our team based out of Silverton, Oregon. We are a small firm, and our engineers take on all aspects of projects: design, planning, and execution of various civil engineering projects in the commercial, industrial and residential markets. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a strong sense of discipline and initiative. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive work environment, and become a well-rounded and better consulting engineer for our clients looking to develop property.
The Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to develop design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for civil engineering projects.
- Prepare preliminary and final engineering construction documents for commercial, industrial and residential projects. Candidates should have a working knowledge of grading, earthwork, demolition, water quality, hydrology/hydraulic reports, storm drain, street, water and sewer design.
- Ability to manage projects from start to finish and proficiency in AutoCAD Land Desktop and/or Civil 3D required.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports.
- Assist in the review and approval of construction plans, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in civil engineering.
The Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering (land development strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, codes, and regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software; experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- EIT/FE certification required; PE track supported.
