Job Title: Electrical Engineer

The Role
This role is responsible for leading the design, architecture, and delivery of complex electronic systems for regulated products, acting as the technical owner across the full product development lifecycle. The individual leads multidisciplinary engineering projects, makes key architectural and technical decisions, and ensures products are compliant, reliable, manufacturable, and meet regulatory requirements. Key highlights include ownership of electronic hardware development and system architecture, leadership of cross-functional teams, PCB and embedded electronics design using Altium Designer, verification and validation testing, EMC and electrical safety compliance, ISO 13485 design control documentation, and collaboration with quality, manufacturing, and regulatory functions to support successful product development and product release.
This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What You Will Do
- Own the design and development of complex electronic systems, PCB assemblies, and embedded electronics for regulated products.
- Create system-level architectures, translate requirements into hardware and firmware specifications, and make key technical design decisions.
- Lead multidisciplinary development projects from concept through to product release, coordinating activities across engineering, quality, manufacturing, and regulatory teams.
- Plan and execute hardware verification activities, analyse test results, troubleshoot issues, and ensure products meet performance requirements.
- Lead EMC and electrical safety activities, support certification testing, and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and ISO 13485 requirements.
- Produce and manage design specifications, verification protocols, risk documentation, test reports, and traceability records throughout the development lifecycle.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, support manufacturing and supplier activities, solve technical problems, and mentor junior engineers.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- Native-level German language proficiency is required, with a minimum of C1-level proficiency in English.
- Several years of experience in electronic hardware development.
- Proven experience with Altium Designer desired.
