This is a unique opportunity to be part of an Engineering design and development team who have been developing CIJ printers, from concept to product, for the last 20 years; thereby increasing the product portfolio of Videojet. This position is part of the R&D Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing team located in Huntingdon, will be based on site in the office and sometimes working in the lab. Work from home is possible if it suits your personal situation at the time and is practical for the business to do so.
Your responsibilities are as follows:
- Solving Engineering problems and developing new solutions/ideas
- Engineering development of new design, or upgrade current design
- Technical drawing and/or reports with results and analysis
- Mechanical Engineering theoretical analysis where applicable
- DFMEA and prototype and testing of design concepts
- Education, (Degree or above), in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Several years of experience in the field of Engineering or product development
- Experience in CAD, ideally Solidworks or similar
- Engineering technical detailing including GD&T, or willing to learn
- Good Engineering skill, (theoretical and practical), to design & analyses of Mechanical systems
- Finite Element Analysis – any software
- Engineering processes, (DFMEA, PSP, etc)
- Experience of working on industries involved with printers, or similar
