Junior Design Structural Bridge Engineer

Overview

CDM Smith is seeking a skilled and motivated Junior Structural Bridge Engineer with 4–5 years of experience in the analysis and design of bridges and related structural elements. The candidate should have strong knowledge of bridge engineering principles, structural analysis, design codes, and experience with industry-standard structural analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of bridges, culverts, and associated structures.
• Develop structural design calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
• Develop structural models and perform analysis using MIDAS Civil / CSiBridge.
• Interpret analysis results and ensure designs comply with applicable design codes and project specifications.
• Coordinate and report progress to his supervisor.
• Assist in resolving technical and construction-related structural issues.

Requirements

• Good Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
• Basic Knowledge of engineer principles of design
• Required Software Skills: MIDAS Civil, CSiBridge, AutoCAD
• MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Strong understanding of structural analysis and bridge design principles.
• Good knowledge of RCC and prestressed concrete bridge design.
• Experience with steel bridge structures is an advantage.



Qualifications

• 4–5 years of relevant bridge structural engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical-report-writing skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
