System Engineer Department is growing. We are looking for a System Verification Engineer to support the development and validation of complex space systems. In this role, you will ensure that system and subsystem requirements are properly verified through analysis, testing, review, inspection and demonstration activities throughout the project lifecycle. You will coordinate the verification processes (SW and HW), work closely with system engineers, expert teams, and MAIT (manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing) engineers to plan and support verification campaigns and maintain full traceability between requirements and verification results.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyse system requirements from a verification point of view
  • Support breakdown activities and the creation of lower tier requirements
  • Plan, define, and maintain the system and subsystem verification strategy in collaboration with System Engineers and Project Managers
  • Develop and maintain the Verification Control Document (VCD) and verification matrices ensuring traceability from requirements to verification activities
  • Define and coordinate verification methods (test, analysis, inspection, review, demonstration) for system and subsystem requirements
  • Contribute to the preparation and execution of verification campaigns, including functional, environmental, and performance testing
  • Coordinate with subsystem teams to ensure verification readiness, including procedures, test setups, and required documentation
  • Review and validate verification procedures, test reports, and verification evidence
  • Plan and design functional test cases for system-level verification/validation in collaboration with system engineers
  • Support and coordinate functional testing activities
  • Ensure requirements traceability and verification status tracking in a requirements management tool
  • Support integration and test activities, including anomaly investigation and verification closure
  • Contribute to verification reviews and project milestones (e.g., TRR, QR, etc.)
  • Maintain verification documentation in accordance with internal quality and configuration management processes


Requirements


  • MSc or BSc degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with system engineering, verification activities in complex engineering projects on a system level
  • In addition to general verification experience, it's an advantage to have:
  • HW (electronics) verification experience, or
  • Environmental testing experience
  • Proven knowledge of requirements engineering and verification methods (eg.: test, analysis, inspection, demonstration)
  • Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion, or similar)
  • Experience in verification planning and management
  • Experience in functional testing (planning, design, coordination, reporting)
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good technical documentation and communication skills in English
  • Experience in working in an R&D environment and according to standardised processes
  • Fluent in English (language of work)



Considered a Plus

  • Experience in the space industry or satellite development projects
  • Knowledge of ECSS standards, especially system engineering and verification standards
  • Experience with environmental testing (thermal vacuum, vibration, EMC, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methods
  • Experience supporting AIT (Assembly, Integration and Test) campaigns
  • Programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for test data analysis or automation
  • Experience with configuration management and product assurance processes
