Role Description The Civil Engineer is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the civil works, structural elements, buildings, facilities, and related infrastructure within Al Tijaria properties to ensure their safety, functionality, quality, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations. The role includes conducting regular site inspections and condition assessments, identifying defects and required corrective works, supervising contractors and service providers, preparing technical scopes and cost estimates, and supporting the planning and execution of civil maintenance and improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical and feasibility studies, property investigations, and civil condition assessments to determine the requirements, scope, viability, and priorities of civil maintenance and improvement works.
• Develop and review detailed civil designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documents using relevant engineering software and computer applications.
• Perform engineering calculations, technical analyses, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates as required for civil works.
• Review civil and fit-out drawings and designs, identify required modifications, and provide technical comments and recommendations with appropriate justifications, subject to management approval.
• Coordinate the procurement and delivery of civil materials, equipment, and related resources to ensure availability in accordance with approved project and maintenance schedules.
• Assess the sustainability and environmental impact of civil works and property-related initiatives and recommend practical measures to improve resource efficiency and environmental performance.
• Handling all civil maintenance work for properties
• Liaising with clients and a variety of professionals including architects and subcontractors
• Compiling job specs and supervising tendering procedures
• Resolving design and development problems
• Managing budgets and property maintenance resources
• Scheduling material and equipment purchases and deliveries
• Making sure the property complies with legal and governmental requirements
• Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of property
• Ensuring property runs smoothly and structures are complete withing budget and on time
• Ability for supporting with multi tasks

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 3-5 years in real estate facility maintenance
• Understanding of the Kuwait real estate market
• Provide leadership on complex issues
• Broad experience in leading and motivating a team
• Excellent analytical and financial skills
• Strong business acumen
• Good communication skills
