The Opportunity
You’re a curious, passionate engineer who takes ownership, builds trust quickly, and consistently delivers high-quality design.
As part of multidisciplinary project teams, you’ll lead the delivery of electrical (MV, LV and ELV) design packages—from the first brief through scheme and detailed design to installation and commissioning.
You’ll grow quickly in a role with strong development prospects, working on complex projects across Mission Critical, Science & Industry, and Healthcare.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer Arup, you will be responsible for:
- Drive the delivery of electrical design packages across the full project lifecycle.
- Partner proactively with stakeholders—architects, discipline experts, clients, contractors, authorities, and public service providers—to keep delivery moving.
- Design medium voltage, low voltage and extra-low voltage systems in a BIM environment.
- Lead, challenge, and coach a team of engineers—coordinating and reviewing work to a high standard.
- Set and uphold high technical and quality standards across all designs and deliverables.
- Review contractors’ design submissions, procedures, and schedules—and ensure they meet requirements.
- Communicate progress, risks, and next steps clearly to project management.
- Mentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers—helping them grow their capability and confidence.
- Champion best practice by actively contributing to Arup’s Electrical Skills Network in Denmark.
- Help us win new work by bringing ideas, insights, and technical leadership to proposals and conversations.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years post-qualification design experience.
- Deep knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations in Denmark, and/or Scandinavia .
- Experience leading the mechanical mechanical design teams, ideally on Science, Industry & Technology and/or Healthcare projects.
- Confident communication in English and in either Danish, Swedish or Norwegian, at all levels.
