Job Opportunity - Manufacturing Engineer

Location : Edgewater, FL


Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Manufacturing / Industrial Engineers to drive productivity, labor efficiency, cost reduction, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidates will have strong expertise in time studies, work measurement, line balancing, capacity planning, standard work, Lean Manufacturing, and labor optimization.

The role will partner closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to improve manufacturing performance, optimize processes, and support new product introduction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing engineering initiatives focused on productivity, labor efficiency, throughput, and cost reduction.
  • Conduct detailed time studies, work measurement, labor analysis, and cycle-time optimization.
  • Perform line balancing, workload distribution, takt-time analysis, and manpower planning.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for waste elimination, labor reduction, and process optimization.
  • Analyze production data to improve throughput, capacity utilization, and overall productivity.
  • Optimize manufacturing layouts, material flow, workstation design, and ergonomics.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) through process development, line setup, and production readiness.
  • Lead Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, Lean, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop standard work, work instructions, labor standards, and process documentation.
  • Perform capacity planning and identify manufacturing constraints and bottlenecks.
  • Drive improvements across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity (SQDCP).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable process improvements.
  • Present productivity metrics, labor utilization, capacity analysis, and cost-saving opportunities to leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–8+ years of Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Line Balancing & Takt Time
  • Labor Planning & Optimization
  • Capacity Analysis
  • Productivity Improvement
  • Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement
  • Experience leading cost reduction and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Preferred Experience

  • High-mix, low-volume manufacturing.
  • Fiberglass, marine, automotive, heavy equipment, or aerospace manufacturing.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) and production launch.
  • Labor optimization and takt-time improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
