Civil CAD Design Technician

As part of our collaborative, full-service design team, you'll work alongside engineers, surveyors, architects, planners, and other design professionals to develop high-quality project deliverables that serve communities throughout Montana and beyond. Your technical expertise will play a key role in creating consistent, accurate, and efficient designs while supporting project teams across multiple disciplines.
From subdivisions and roadways to water systems, storm drainage, grading, and infrastructure improvements, you'll contribute to projects that shape how people live, work, and connect. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and manage project-specific AutoCAD Civil 3D files for civil engineering and surveying projects.
- Provide AutoCAD Civil 3D technical support for civil studio team members throughout the project development.
- Assist with project setup, quality assurance, and quality control procedures to ensure deliverables meet company, client, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary project teams to develop, model, and document civil engineering designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Support the development and maintenance of CAD standards, workflows, and best practices.
- Serve as a technical resource within a specialized CAD discipline and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, surveyors, and designers to deliver accurate, efficient, and high-quality project documents.
- Associate degree (AA or AAS) in BIM/CAD, Drafting Technology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting and design experience, preferably in civil engineering or land development.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with civil engineering design, surveying, land development, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
