Senior Hardware Engineer – Automotive Electronics

Our Client is a major global technology supplier, partnered with leading automotive OEMs, delivering advanced in-vehicle electronic systems that enhance the driver experience.

As a Hardware Engineer, you will support the development of next-generation automotive infotainment systems, from concept through to series production.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop electronic hardware for automotive infotainment systems from concept to series production
  • Design, test and validate analogue and digital electronic modules
  • Develop schematics, PCB layouts and manufacturing data using tools such as Altium Designer
  • Conduct feasibility studies, simulations and prototype development
  • Commission, debug and verify hardware, documenting test results
  • Build and modify electronic assemblies, cables and test harnesses
  • Perform electrical measurements using multimeters, oscilloscopes and lab equipment
  • Troubleshoot hardware and identify root causes
  • Prepare technical documentation and define functional requirements
  • Collaborate with software, mechanical, quality and purchasing teams
  • Coordinate with international development teams, including Japan
  • Contribute to development standards and process improvements


Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, or similar
  • 10+ years of experience in electronic hardware development, preferably within automotive
  • Strong knowledge of analogue/digital circuit design, PCB layout and EMC
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer and electronic development/simulation tools
  • Experience with embedded hardware testing, prototyping and debugging
  • Hands-on experience with soldering, microscopes and laboratory measurement equipment
  • Experience with complex electronic assemblies and multilayer PCBs
  • Strong technical documentation and communication skills
  • Fluent English is mandatory
  • German language skills are a plus
  • Structured, hands-on team player with strong problem-solving skills
