Your Primary Responsibilities
Lead Project Delivery
- Serve as Project Manager and Engineer of Record for roadway design projects.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality transportation solutions.
- Ensure compliance with FDOT standards, procedures, and quality requirements.
Support Business Growth
- Develop and strengthen relationships with FDOT, local agencies, and municipal clients.
- Identify new opportunities and support strategic growth initiatives.
- Participate in client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
Win New Work
- Lead or support proposal development, Letters of Response, technical approaches, and interview presentations.
- Collaborate with teaming partners to develop competitive pursuit strategies.
- Apply technical expertise to develop innovative and value-added solutions for clients.
Mentor and Develop Staff
- Provide guidance and mentorship to project engineers and emerging professionals.
- Foster collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence throughout the team.
- Support employee development through coaching and knowledge sharing.
Deliver Excellence
- Maintain GEG's reputation for responsive service and high-quality deliverables.
- Champion continuous improvement in project execution and quality management.
- Build long-term client relationships through consistent communication and successful project delivery.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida or ability to obtain Florida licensure through comity.
- 8+ years of progressive roadway design experience.
- Experience managing FDOT transportation projects, including roadway and 3R projects.
- Strong understanding of FDOT manuals, standards, specifications, and project development processes.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing project budgets and schedules.
- Experience preparing technical proposals, Letters of Response, and interview presentations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
