- Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of damage to public infrastructure (roads, buildings, utilities).
- Review technical data and field documentation to support cost estimating.
- Collaborate with site inspectors and estimators to develop repair scopes.
- Contribute to planning and mitigation strategies for state and local clients.
- May assist with report writing, plan review, and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
- 5+ years of experience in public works, disaster recovery, or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with RSMeans or similar cost estimation tools.
- Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel for short-term field deployments (typically 1–2 weeks at a time).
- U.S. work authorization required.
- Preferred Skills:
- PE license (especially in Florida, Louisiana, or nearby states).
- Prior experience supporting post-disaster work (FEMA, CDBG, state/local agencies).
- Understanding of local and state building codes, ADA, and mitigation standards.
- Comfortable navigating damaged or remote sites (vehicle required for field work).
