Fortivum is a growing engineering consultancy specialising in the design and delivery of data centre and critical infrastructure projects across Ireland and Europe.

The Role

You will work alongside experienced engineers on the electrical design of large-scale data centre and critical infrastructure projects, developing your technical skills and taking increasing responsibility for your own design packages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with electrical design from concept through to detailed design.
• Produce electrical drawings, layouts, schematics and technical documentation.
• Assist with LV/MV distribution, lighting, small power and containment design.
• Carry out electrical calculations and equipment selection.
• Coordinate designs with mechanical, architectural and structural disciplines.
• Assist with specifications, schedules and design reports.
• Participate in design meetings and technical reviews.
• Support senior engineers throughout project delivery.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• 1–4 years’ experience in an electrical engineering consultancy – essential.
• Previous electrical design experience – essential.
• Good understanding of electrical building services.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Revit, Amtech, Dialux or similar experience is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of relevant electrical standards.
• Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail.
