What You’ll Bring To The Table

• Accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering; Professional Engineer license strongly preferred.
• Over 10 years of extensive experience in electrical systems design within consulting or related fields.
• Thorough knowledge of single line diagrams, P&IDs, NFPA standards, and power distribution hardware.
• Hands-on experience with electrical design tools such as AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit or BIM software is a plus.
• Proficiency in power system modeling, control systems, and hardware interfacing for industrial projects.
• Skilled in short circuit analysis, arc flash studies, voltage drop calculations, and cable sizing.
• Experience with SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software.
• Additional expertise in lighting design, grounding, lightning protection, fire alarm systems, hazardous area classification, telecommunications, and energy-efficient design practices.
• Excellent resource management skills, with the ability to delegate CAD work and lead multidisciplinary teams.

Nice To Have Skills

• Experience with photometrics using AGI32.
• Knowledge of heat trace design, utility interface development, and sustainable energy practices.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards, BICSI guidelines, and US Green Building Council Certification.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.

Preferred Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering design, ideally within a consulting environment.
• Professional Engineering license highly regarded.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to participate in technical seminars, professional organizations, and ongoing education.
• Ability to coordinate with vendors, field teams, and internal departments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
