Your Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineers with a strong experience in delivering electrical building services and infrastructure design, particularly in electrical layouts, equipment accommodation arrangements and detailed design documentation, including the spatial and multidisciplinary coordination of electrical systems within building and infrastructure environments on major rail and energy projects across Victoria and NSW.
Additional Scope, Responsibilities And Experience May Include
- Design and develop electrical building services solutions across power distribution, lighting, essential services, communications, standby power, renewable energy and other specialist electrical systems.
- Prepare and review electrical design documentation, including drawings, single-line diagrams, schedules, specifications, calculations and technical reports.
- Review and update design documentation to ensure designs are accurate, coordinated and fit for purpose.
- Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, hydraulic, fire and other disciplines to deliver integrated and buildable design solutions.
- Identify and resolve design, coordination and constructability issues throughout the design and delivery process.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify existing conditions, support design development and ensure design intent is maintained through delivery.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, clients, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Ensure electrical designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, regulatory requirements, project specifications and industry best practice.
You bring experience in electrical layout design and equipment accommodation, with an understanding of how electrical systems and equipment need to be arranged, coordinated and integrated within constrained infrastructure environments, including.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical.
- Proficiency in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD and/or PowerCAD.
- Sound knowledge of Australian electrical standards and regulations.
- Experience and sound working knowledge of AS/NZS 3000.
