Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is a leading HVAC and building services contractor with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical solutions across commercial, healthcare, data centre, infrastructure and industrial projects throughout NSW.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Sydney team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer to play a key role in the design, delivery and successful execution of complex HVAC projects from concept through to commissioning.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the design, coordination and technical delivery of HVAC systems across a diverse range of projects. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients to ensure designs meet project requirements, Australian Standards and budget objectives.
 
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be:

• Designing HVAC systems in accordance with NCC requirements and Australian Standards
• Producing, reviewing and coordinating design documentation, drawings and technical submissions
• Providing technical guidance and support to drafting teams
• Conducting design reviews and design checks for secured projects
• Assessing subcontractor and supplier submissions for technical compliance
• Supporting project delivery teams throughout installation, testing and commissioning phases
• Providing engineering solutions to technical and design challenges
• Managing project documentation including drawings, specifications and reports

 
We would love to talk to people with experience as a HVAC Design Engineer, Senior HVAC Design Engineer, Mechanical Designer or Senior Mechanical Engineer within HVAC. If you have experience on projects including healthcare, data centres and infrastructure with values from $10 million and over we would like to hear from you. Design & Construct experience is a must

Salary for this role is $140-180K plus super depending on experience
