Chery Spain R&D Center is Chery Automobile’s regional R&D Center in Europe and a key part of its global strategy. The center focuses on European adaptation and validation, plant technical support, localized component development, quality issue analysis, connected vehicle operations, and FL vehicle development, while continuously strengthening its capabilities in product definition, validation, technical coordination, and project support. With the capability to independently develop large FL models for global markets, it plays a vital role in Chery’s global R&D network and is committed to delivering competitive solutions for both European and international markets.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design and development of low-voltage vehicle wiring harness systems.
- Create and review 3D layouts and 2D drawings, ensuring optimal routing, fastening, and packaging.
- Define technical solutions and select electrical components, connectors, clips, and auxiliary materials.
- Support the complete vehicle development lifecycle, from requirements definition through validation and production readiness.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.
- Participate in prototype builds, testing activities, and validation processes.
- Analyze issues identified during vehicle trials and field operations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Support quality and reliability activities, including FMEA creation and engineering reviews.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for harness design and development processes.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in automotive wiring harness design and development.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical architecture and harness systems.
- Experience creating and interpreting wiring schematics.
- Familiarity with automotive harness development processes and manufacturing technologies.
- Proficiency in CATIA, AutoCAD, or other relevant 2D/3D engineering tools.
- Experience working in OEM or Tier-1 automotive environments is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.
- Professional English communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with complete vehicle electrical systems.
- Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, and quality management processes.
- Experience working in multinational automotive organizations.
- Spanish and/or Chinese language skills.
