Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater

Essential Function
- Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications and costs estimates for water and wastewater projects
- Conduct technical evaluations to support planning and design related to water and wastewater systems
- Preparation and review of technical memoranda, engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and miscellaneous contract documents
- Direct and assist with the development of project staff and collaboration with subconsultants
- Facilitate internal and client meetings, presentations and approval of plans
- Participate in community outreach tasks
- Support field testing and investigations
- Manage construction projects with office engineering services (submittal review, contract document interpretation, requests for information, correspondence, change requests, change orders, site visits and coordination with inspection personnel)
- Provide construction inspection and administration of water/wastewater pipeline, pumping, storage and treatment facility construction projects.
- Communicate effectively and coordinate with clients, project teams including other engineering disciplines, designers and subconsultants
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field
- Engineering in Training Certificate
- 4+ years of increasingly responsible, project experience in the study, design, and construction administration and inspection of water and wastewater facilities and infrastructure (pipelines, pump stations, treatment)
- A self-starter, versatile and interested in working on a variety of projects supporting the Water and Wastewater Group
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
- A solution minded individual with an appetite for problem solving
- Demonstrated proficiency in the documentation, organization and presentation of project data
- Proficiency with Microsoft Professional Suite including Word, Outlook, Project, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and REVIT is desirable
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License or the ability to obtain
