Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Opportunity for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join team based in Kilkenny responsible for a multi-disciplinary engineering and project delivery team nationwide. Will be responsible for electrical design outputs to support ongoing contracts and coordinating activities across the team of electrical design engineers.

An important aspect will be focusing on delivering work efficiently and effectively, while maintaining and developing electrical design standards within the company.

The role will require strong technical skills, communication and interaction with managers, engineers, internal and external team members, clients and suppliers.

Role and responsibilities:

• Develop new electrical designs and innovative concepts to meet project requirements
• Assess and interpret client specifications to ensure alignment with project goals
• Prepare detailed electrical technical designs and submissions for approval
• Design electrical instrumentation systems to meet operational needs
• Assist in the development and structuring of system architecture for projects
• Preparation of Electrical Technical Designs & Submissions
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams
• Prepare Cable, IO & Power schedules
• Evaluation and selection of sub-contractors and suppliers
• Preparation of procurement specifications and quotation evaluations
• Manage project documentation in accordance with the requirements of the Project Quality Plan
• Occasionally travel to site to support site activities as required

Requirements:

• Industry Knowledge: Experience in the water and wastewater treatment sector is highly desirable.
• Education: Accredited NFQ Level 8 Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in a similar role
• Applicants must be located in Ireland and hold a valid work visa.
