Senior Mechanical Engineer (Minerals Plant)

Reporting to the Manager of Engineering - Americas, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of accurate, professional and compliant design deliverables using Company approved systems and procedures.
The tasks you'll perform
- Deliver accurate mechanical engineering designs, calculations, and drawing reviews aligned with design intent, codes, and standards.
- Manage multiple priorities to achieve agreed deliverables on time, within scope, and to a high professional standard.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes, identifying and documenting scope variations as required.
- Coordinate with and support the drafting team to ensure high‑quality drawing and documentation outputs.
- Prepare technical documentation and engineering deliverables, including scopes of work, specifications, equipment lists, and material take‑offs.
- Evaluate vendor tenders and documentation, providing technical recommendations and interface coordination.
- Support project controls by contributing to documentation related to scope, quantities, cost, and schedule.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, actively supporting team delivery, mentoring, and continuous improvement (with ad‑hoc travel as required).
- 8+ years’ experience in mineral processing or metallurgical plant design
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem‑solving capability, delivering high‑quality outputs with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to manage priorities, multitask, and deliver work accurately and professionally
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with clients, vendors, colleagues, and external providers
- High standards of integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and professional conduct.
