Job description / Your role:
As Lead Electrical Engineer at LEOspace, you will take technical ownership of our electrical systems for space applications and lead their development across the full product lifecycle — from requirements and design to testing, qualification, and industrialization. In close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, you will ensure reliable electrical solutions for the demanding space environment.
- Define and own our space electronics roadmap, enabling our cybertronic vision.
- Lead the design, integration and validation of electrical subsystems.
- Translate system requirements into robust electrical solutions at equipment, unit and component level.
- Guide component selection and support the qualification of high-performance electrical parts.
- Contribute to industrialization and continuous improvement of engineering standards and processes.
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace, mechatronics or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical or electronics engineering, preferably in the space sector.
- Experience in component selection, design, troubleshooting and validation.
- Strong ability to translate requirements into robust electrical architectures and solutions at equipment, unit or component level.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken.
- Background in space radiation testing.
- Knowledge of space hardware development workflows.
- Familiarity with relevant standards and frameworks, such as ECSS, ISO 15288, or NASA GEVS.
- Experience in technical leadership, analytical problem-solving, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
