Key Duties And Responsibilities
Your duties as the CAD Designer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Drawing electrical layouts for buildings, panels, lighting, and power using standard symbols for specific projects.
- Modifying client drawings using AutoCAD, including general arrangements, wiring diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.
- Applying technical knowledge in construction, manufacturing, control system design, and electrical engineering.
- Collaborating with the project team for engineering support and problem-solving.
- As the CAD Designer you will ensure designs adhere to industry standards and client specifications, maintaining accuracy and quality throughout the development process.
- A Degree or higher level in Computer Aided Drafting/Design in electrical or an equivalent qualification.
- Proven industry experience with tools and parts necessary for specific projects, including expertise in AutoCAD 2024 or higher and AutoCAD Electrical.
- A working knowledge of the fundamentals of electricity and the ability to apply NFPA and NEC standards to designs.
