Design Engineer - Civil Engineering

For our client in Brussels, we are looking for a Design Engineer (Civil engineering). As a Design Engineer, you carry out project studies, lead draftsmen in the preparation of plans, assist in the development of schedules and work phasing, develop the technical aspects of specifications, and provide technical support or oversee the execution of works to ensure that the infrastructure being built or modified meets the client’s requirements as well as applicable standards and specifications.

Mission

You Will Be Responsible For

• Design and structural studies for civil engineering works: bridges, viaducts, tunnels, support structures, geotechnical works, and technical buildings (feasibility, preliminary design, detailed studies), including detailed drawings and BIM integration
• Planning and phasing of works: contributing to the development of project schedules
• Problem-solving while considering budget, timing, and feasibility. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams (environment, soil mechanics, hydraulics, signaling)
• Drafting technical clauses for specifications, providing technical assistance on construction sites, and reporting progress and results to stakeholders

Profile

• You speak Dutch and have a good command of French
• You have at least 5 years of experience in civil engineering
• You hold a Master’s degree in Construction or equivalent
• You are proficient in CAD and BIM tools
• You have the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
