Principal Structural Engineer (P.E.)

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated senior engineer with deep structural expertise, capable of leading project teams and managing complex evaluations from assessment through construction documentation. Candidates will have 15+ years of relevant experience and the ability to lead engineers, architects, and technical specialists.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural evaluations of existing and damaged buildings, including field assessments (ladders, lifts, rooftops, confined spaces)
• Prepare as-built drawings, repair designs, and construction documentation in compliance with applicable codes
• Investigate structural conditions and develop repair strategies for damage related to fire, wind, flood, and impact events
• Lead project teams, manage scope/schedule/budget, and oversee QA/QC
• Support business development through client meetings and technical expertise

Qualifications

• Active, clean P.E. license for Florida required (additional S.E. preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; BIM experience a plus
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
