Location: Tukwila, WA
Pay Rate: $125-160K
Employment Type: Direct hire

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Controls Engineer for a leader in manufacturing innovative material handling equipment, which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in electro-mechanical systems design and PLC/HMI programming looking to further their career in custom equipment engineering.
- Design complex electro-mechanical systems for specialized industrial material handling applications
- Program PLC and HMI systems, and design/debug low-voltage, high-power electrical systems
- Create electrical and controls schematics, documentation, and provide technical support to customers
- Function as Project Engineer through all phases of custom equipment development from concept through delivery
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Quality to ensure cost-effective, safe, and profitable solutions
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in controls engineering. Open to considering more tenured candidates at 7+ years' experience as well
- Experience with strong PLC/HMI programming background, Siemens highly preferred.
- Design of electrical controls components and systems
- Ability to debug wiring and commission programming of new machines, including multimeter use/wiring experience.
- Experience drawing, reading, and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and machine control documentation.
- Thorough understanding of electro-mechanical design principles, industrial electronics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
