Transmission (Substation Design) Engineer

Sunflower, a generation and transmission cooperative, has an opening in the Transmission Engineering department (Substation Physical Design Engineer or Substation Electrical P&C Design Engineer) in Wichita, Great Bend, or Garden City, KS. As the successful candidate, you will get to use your creativity to help design substations and switching stations while also assisting with system protection functions. Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• Industry experience varies dependent upon the engineering level (I-Senior).
• Successful completion of Fundamental Engineering Exam is preferred for Engineer I.
• Professional Engineer license is preferred for Engineer II and Senior Engineer.
