What You Will Be Doing

As the Design Engineer Sr you will be responsible for leading the development of advanced components and systems, translating concepts into detailed designs that meet performance, cost, and manufacturing requirements.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Design major components and subsystems, creating preliminary layouts and sketches.
  • Evaluate manufacturability, material availability, and cost to optimize designs.
  • Produce detailed assembly drawings and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Review and verify design documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to resolve design issues and implement improvements.

Further Information About This Opportunity

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, equivalent experience/ combined education considered, with 5 years of professional experience
  • Knowledge of ASME drawings and Y14.5 GD&T
  • Familiar with CATIA V5 or CAD software
  • Prior experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings

Desired Skills

  • Prior experience with Engineering change processes and change orders
  • Prior experience Engineering checking.
  • Familiar with retrofit/service action and multiple type/version effectivities
  • Very detail oriented with good verbal and written communication skills
  • One-team mindset to achieve common goal

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
