What You Will Do
- Research, design, develop, modify, and verify medical device components and modules with minimal supervision.
- Translate design inputs into engineering specifications and subsystem-level designs.
- Develop, prototype, and analyze solutions to establish proof of concept and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Apply fundamental and advanced engineering concepts, practices, and procedures to problem solving.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of customer needs, product intended use, and relevant clinical procedures.
- Build familiarity with business fundamentals, including financial models and project impacts.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, design controls, risk management, and the Quality Management System.
- Independently create, maintain, and refine engineering documentation, including Design History File content.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management to drive project success.
- Demonstrate ownership, quickly assimilate new processes and technologies, prioritize work independently, and contribute as a key collaborative team member.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or BioMedical & 2+ years of work experience
- Working knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering practices and design principles
- Technical ability to create engineering drawings and models, applying GD&T and CAE tools
- Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to product design
- Ability to Communicate basic plans and technical information to team members
