HVAC Engineer - (Union Environment)

Join our facilities team as an HVAC Engineer, where you will play a critical role in maintaining the infrastructure of a premier healthcare facility. You will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems that support essential medical services. This is a stable, union-represented position offering a predictable schedule of Monday through Friday, day shifts. You will participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure continuous system performance, supported by a collaborative team of skilled tradespeople. What You’ll Do

• Install, repair, adjust, service, and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment. This includes the calibration of related instruments, gauges, and control components.
• Perform operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems and equipment, including pumps, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, and related mechanical systems, to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability.
• Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
• Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
• Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
• Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
• Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• EPA Universal required.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Collective Bargaining Agreement: The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the HVAC Engineer - Union position is $31.50 per hour. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale.
