HVAC Engineer - (Union Environment)

This is a stable, union-represented position offering a predictable schedule of Monday through Friday, day shifts. You will participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure continuous system performance, supported by a collaborative team of skilled tradespeople. What You’ll Do
- Install, repair, adjust, service, and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment. This includes the calibration of related instruments, gauges, and control components.
- Perform operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems and equipment, including pumps, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, and related mechanical systems, to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
- Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
- Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- EPA Universal required.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
- Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Should any element of this Job Description conflict with the provisions of an applicable collective bargaining agreement, the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement will prevail.

Collective Bargaining Agreement: The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the HVAC Engineer - Union position is $31.50 per hour. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
