Quectel Wireless Solutions is global IoT technology developer and cellular module supplier of 5G, LTE, LTE-A, LPWA, Smart Module, C-V2X, GSM/GPRS, UMTS/HSPA(+) and GNSS modules. Due to business expansion on Serbian market in R&D Centre, Quectel is looking for motivated and proactive candidates to join our team in Belgrade.


ON-SITE, Monday - Friday with flexible start between 7:30 - 9:30 AM.


We are looking for: Hardware Electronics R&D Engineer


Main responsibilities:


Common Task

  • At least able to handle technical support issues for 3 product categories (cellular/WIFI/GNSS/antenna) of the company.
  • Capable of handling customer issues and providing technical support for all countries within a region (EMEA).
  • Able to take on work tasks for part of the team working load.
  • Provide on-site technical support to customers.

PCBA/ODM Development

  • Lead requirement analysis, solution design, schematic design, and PCB layout design and guidance.
  • Responsible for stack-up, placement and routing, SI/PI, EMC/ESD, thermal design, and DFM/DFT.
  • Responsible for component selection, BOM, prototype debugging, test verification, and mass production introduction.
  • Collaborate with RF, software, test, quality, certification, supply chain, and project management teams.
  • Solve complex hardware technical issues during development.

Customer Hardware System Assessment

  • Issue customer system hardware assessment proposals based on customer requirements.
  • Proposals should include: system block diagram, key material options, BOM, interfaces, power, clock, storage, sensors, communications, etc.
  • Assess feasibility, risks, cost, and schedule, and align with customers.
  • Support pre-sales technical exchanges, key customer design-in, and project bidding.

Customer Support

  • Handle complex escalation issues and mentor T1/T2 engineers in debugging.
  • Participate in key customer design reviews and technical exchanges.
  • Produce complex issue analysis reports and corrective suggestions.
  • Drive customer issue closure and build the knowledge base.


Requirements and preferable skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science.
  • 4+years of hardware development experience.
  • Proficiency in schematic design, PCB layout, power, high-speed signals, and EMC.
  • Familiarity with the full PCBA/ODM process.
  • Strong project leadership and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Fluent English; able to communicate technically with customers independently.
  • Preferred: Quectel module experience, automotive electronics, industrial electronics, functional safety, and certification experience.
  • Fluent in English.
