Senior Design Engineer – MiPA (human)

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will help create robots that safely interact with people and operate across industrial, commercial, and everyday environments.
Your mission & challenges
- Lead mechanical design projects for MiPA and its subsystems
- Develop robust mechanical architectures and production-ready designs
- Create and maintain CAD models, technical drawings, product structures, and bills of materials
- Perform structural, stability, durability, and tolerance analyses
- Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) throughout the product development process
- Define and maintain engineering design standards and documentation quality
- Coordinate development activities across mechanical, electronics, software, manufacturing, and sourcing teams
- Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and product industrialization
- Manage engineering changes, revisions, and configuration control processes
- Contribute to technical decision-making, risk assessments, and design reviews
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a comparable field
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical product development
- Experience developing complex electromechanical systems
- Strong expertise in mechanical design, structural analysis, and engineering documentation
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, castings, injection molding, and assembly processes
- Proficiency in SolidWorks; experience with SolidWorks PDM is highly desirable
- Familiarity with DFM/DFA methodologies
- Experience working in robotics, automation, medical devices, automotive, aerospace, or similar industries
- Experience with mobile robotic or service robotic systems
- Knowledge of Creo/Windchill
- Prior technical leadership or project ownership experience
