What is the role?
We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for the continuous development of new and improve existing components, and mechanisms as well as the overall structural construction of our satellites.
Some of your daily tasks will include:
- Design and development of mechanical systems for Nano- an Smallsats
- Participation in creating technical documentation (3D models, 2D drawings, product specifications, etc.)
- Responsible for meeting deadlines for the execution of projects from early design to production of first prototype units, testing, assembly, and analysis of the prototype set
- Participation in the creation of instructions, manuals, magazine articles, research articles, and/or other supporting documents for the transmission of technical information related to the activity, as well as personal tasks
- Engaging customers in technical conversations on a daily basis
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, and Space Engineering
- 5+ years of experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, NX)
- 5+ years of practical experience in managing the design and development of mechanical components or systems
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Previous experience in a dynamic R&D environment
- Experience in designing components and nodes
- Previous experience with Teamcenter PLM
- Outstanding written and oral communication with a focus on interpersonal and organizational skills
- Willingness to prove abilities and skills in handling critical and short-term tasks, along with dynamically changing requirements
- Knowledge of designing accompanying devices (mounting, transport)
- Exceptional knowledge of the preparation/creation of technical documentation
