Electrical Design Engineer

Primary Duties
- Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control systems for HVAC products.
- Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical components and systems.
- Analyze and resolve electrical issues, supporting both development and production environments.
- Maintain and update engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test reports.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineering, software, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure system integration and performance.
- Apply engineering principles and standards to ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and performance requirements.
- Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations to improve system functionality and efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product design, quality, and cost reduction.
- Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with new product development and product enhancement projects.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing and field service teams.
- Support compliance efforts related to electrical codes and standards (e.g., UL, NEC).
- Provide guidance and support to entry-level engineers as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline;
- 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field,
- Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Experience in manufacturing or HVAC systems preferred.
- Working knowledge of electrical engineering principles, circuits, and control systems.
- Ability to interpret and develop electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with engineering tools, CAD software, and testing equipment.
- Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to analyze technical problems and develop practical solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capability.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during work activities.
- Manual dexterity for handling tools, components, and testing equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
- Perform work in both office and engineering lab environments with regular collaboration across teams.
- Frequent exposure to manufacturing environments with varying temperatures, noise, and industrial conditions.
- Regular interaction with engineering teams, production staff, and cross-functional groups.
- Fast-paced environment focused on product development and operational support.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required in lab or production areas.
- This role is classified as a Safety Sensitive Position, requiring adherence to all safety protocols to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
