Responsibilities
- Develop project management skills through on-the-job training of project management techniques and management systems through assisting with the project proposal process and determining project requirements (e.g., schedule and budget).
- For a detailed segment of a project, lays out full plan designs, plan details and outlines, identifies, quantities of materials, cost estimates, and performs calculations.
- Assists senior engineers with a variety of assignments (e.g., development of design guides, guide specifications, design control procedures).
- Prepares technical specifications for review and approval.
- Reviews and may approve design drawings for assigned segment of project.
- Prepare technical reports.
- Perform field tests, takes measurements, and collects field data, as necessary.
- Willingness to learn implementation of integrated services projects in a team with multidisciplinary skills
- Knowledge of land development construction including codes and development regulations in New Jersey
- BS in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- 3+ years of experience working on land development projects
- EIT preferred
- Experience site layout, grading, utility design and stormwater management
- Experience with site plans, construction documents, specification, and engineering reports
- Proficient in the following: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, MS Office
