What will be your responsibilities?
Our Junior Mechanical Engineers will support the mechanical design and development of mission-critical infrastructure projects, including data centers and telecommunications facilities. You will work closely with senior engineers to ensure high-quality, efficient, and sustainable mechanical solutions that meet client and industry standards.
- Assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of HVAC, cooling systems, and mechanical infrastructure for data centres and IT facilities.
- Conduct thermal load calculations, airflow analysis, and energy efficiency assessments to optimize mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, architects, and project managers, to integrate mechanical solutions into overall project designs.
- Support the selection and specification of mechanical equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, and CRAC/CRAH units.
- Assist in the review of technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Participate in site inspections, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems to verify proper installation and performance.
- Contribute to sustainability and renewable energy initiatives, ensuring designs align with energy efficiency and environmental goals.
- Research and stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering for data centres
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineeringor a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in data centres, HVAC, or building services.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, cooling technologies, and thermodynamics.
- Familiarity with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, CFD analysis tools, or similar.
- Understanding of industry standards and regulations (ASHRAE, ISO, Uptime Institute, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Hybrid working arrangement – 2 days in the office (Tuesday & Thursday), with the remaining 3 days working from home
