About the Opportunity

A growing consulting engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to support the design and delivery of commercial, institutional, and mixed-use building projects. This individual will play a key role in electrical system design, project coordination, quality control, and mentorship of junior team members while collaborating closely with engineers, clients, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design power, lighting, and electrical distribution systems for building projects.
• Prepare electrical plans, layouts, calculations, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams throughout all project phases.
• Review shop drawings, conduct site visits, and support construction administration efforts.
• Serve as a project lead/job captain, ensuring project deliverables are accurate, complete, and issued on schedule.
• Mentor junior designers and support technical development across the team.
• Participate in client meetings and contribute to project planning and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of electrical design experience within a consulting engineering environment.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, building systems, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project coordination skills.
