Design Engineer - Transportation

Muller Engineering is based in Lakewood, Colorado, offering a hybrid work schedule that supports in-person collaboration and flexibility. We welcome applicants from across the continental United States who are open to relocating to the Denver metro area.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Create designs for a wide range of transportation facilities, from interstates and interchanges to urban arterials, rural roadways, and multimodal facilities.
- Collaborate with mid-level and senior engineers to prepare studies, reports, and design packages for diverse transportation design and planning projects.
- Take full ownership of projects, from inception to completion, ensuring their success.
- Conduct field observation work when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a similar engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. A master’s degree is a plus.
- 0-3 years of experience in transportation engineering design.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with exceptional organizational skills.
- A passion for personal and professional growth within a supportive team environment, working towards designs that align with our clients' project objectives.
- Familiarity with MicroStation/OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or other applicable transportation engineering software engineering is a plus.
- Proficiency of and experience with Microsoft Office products is a plus.
- Hydraulics and/or traffic engineering experience is a plus.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Engineer Intern (EI) certification is preferred.
