About The Team

We are looking for a motivated Senior Fluidic Component Design Engineer (m/f/d) at our home base in Augsburg with experience in structural and mechanism design and development. This is a rare opportunity allowing you to be involved in demanding development efforts that are supported by parallel test campaigns allowing us to close short-iteration development cycles at fast pace. You will work in a dedicated, dynamic and international environment that aims for excellence by creating high-performance engineering solutions while keeping production costs at an absolute minimum.

Your Tasks

  • Design various fluidic components and valves on the vehicle
  • Take ownership of the entire product lifecycle from concept to hardware integration and post-flight analysis
  • Define and maintain requirements with a strong focus on system-reliability
  • Create CAD models of components and assemblies
  • Collaborate with the testing team to qualify the systems
  • Support the AIT team and resolve non-conformances
  • Closely work with peers from Propulsion, Analysis and Testing

Your Qualifications

  • Degree in Aerospace engineering
  • 5+ years in the design/ development of valves
  • Demonstrated ability to develop critical valves for flight hardware
  • Experience with cryogenic fluidic systems, especially liquid oxygen
  • Good skills with CAD software (Siemens NX or other)
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities
  • Hands- on experience in a testing or operation environment
  • Basic knowledge of launch vehicles and sub-systems
  • Feel confident with medium and high-pressure pneumatic systems
  • Business Level English
