As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will act as a subject-matter expert in electrical distribution design, providing innovative engineering solutions while leading a growing team. You will play a key role in delivering projects of national significance, working closely with clients, field teams, and contractors to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Serve as a technical expert in electrical distribution design
  • Provide engineering solutions to support client requirements
  • Prepare technical documentation in line with best engineering and industry practices.
  • Lead and manage the engineering team, driving performance and development
  • Coordinate with clients, field staff, and subcontractors to ensure project success
  • Manage multiple design and engineering assignments simultaneously
  • Produce high-quality reports and presentations
  • Resolve technical issues in collaboration with in-house engineering teams
  • Build and maintain relationships with network and asset owners and principal contractors
  • Identify and support new business opportunities


Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years’ experience in electrical distribution design in New Zealand
  • Strong knowledge of electrical regulations and industry requirements, contracting procedures and contract law and NZ electricity distribution standards
  • Proven experience mentoring junior engineers and supporting team development
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce clear reports and presentations
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
