About The Company

Clandillon Civil Consulting (CCC) is an Irish civil engineering consultancy that, through its work with many of Ireland’s biggest civil engineering contractors, has been involved in some of Ireland’s largest recent infrastructure projects including the N17N18 Gort to Tuam Motorway, Luas Cross City, N4 Collooney to Castlebaldwin and the N8 Dunkettle Interchange. CCC provides exceptional services in the execution of infrastructure projects and specialises in applying sound judgement to identify opportunities and provide solutions for our Clients.

Due to growth within the team, CCC is now looking to recruit a Senior Engineer, who, in conjunction with working from home, can be based from either their Naas, Navan or Cork office. The successful candidate will report into senior management and be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of projects, leading teams and ensuring delivery to the highest standards within the project timeframes.

This position may suit someone with previous design experience who is looking to make the next step in their career or an experienced senior engineer who is seeking a leading role on exciting projects.

Senior Engineer – The Role

• Lead teams in delivery of infrastructure projects or civils team leader on a larger project.
• Support and directs activities and goals of other staff members.
• Represent CCC at Client meetings and relaying meeting outcomes.
• Actively prioritise workload and manage time (including that of others).
• Develop technical reports to establish design principles or explain designs.
• Check designs drawings and documents developed by other team members.
• Represent CCC at meetings, taking minutes, developing resource requirements, and assigning actions.
• Any other duties, as deemed necessary, that fall within the remit and level of the position.

What You Need – The Skills And Competencies

• Minimum NFQ Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
• 5 years+ engineering experience, with 2 years+ undertaking responsibilities of Team Leader / Project Manager.
• Experience in the design of linear infrastructure projects (highway, greenway, active travel and/ or rail).
• Strong understanding of civil engineering disciplines and understanding of interfaces.
• Experience in working as part of multi-disciplinary teams.
• Able to multi-task confidently, with excellent management and organisational skills required.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Team player with the ability to work on own initiative as required.
• Confident in using all Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of and demonstrable commitment to health and safety legislation and requirements.
• Full Driving License.
• Current right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
