Clandillon Civil Consulting (CCC) is an Irish civil engineering consultancy that, through its work with many of Ireland’s biggest civil engineering contractors, has been involved in some of Ireland’s largest recent infrastructure projects including the N17N18 Gort to Tuam Motorway, Luas Cross City, N4 Collooney to Castlebaldwin, N8 Dunkettle Interchange and most recently, Bus Connects. CCC provides exceptional services in the execution of infrastructure projects and specialises in applying sound judgement in order to identify opportunities and provide solutions for our Clients.
Due to growth within the team, CCC is now looking to recruit a Project Engineer (Drainage) with circa 2-5 years’ experience, who, in conjunction with working from home, can be based from either our Naas, Navan or Cork offices. The successful candidate will report into CCC’s Senior Water Engineers. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious engineer to play a leading role in growing CCC’s water capabilities.
Project Engineer – The Role
- Participate in the delivery of linear infrastructure projects (Highways, Greenways, Active Travel and Public Transport Schemes).
- Perform the function of Drainage Lead in respect of projects (develop drainage design basis statements, flood risk assessments, hydraulic calculations and associated reports and design documents).
- Hydraulic modelling of surface water drainage systems, culverts, and river systems.
- Preparation of drawings, specifications, reports, and technical documentation.
- Development of 3D drainage models and coordination of BIM workflows.
- Provide supervision and training to junior members of staff.
- Actively prioritise workload and manage time (including that of others).
- Participate in internal and external meetings and develop pricing submissions and resource plans.
- Any other duties, as deemed necessary, that fall within the remit and level of the position.
- Minimum NFQ Level 9 Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Circa. 2 – 5 years’ engineering experience.
- Working towards Chartership.
- Previous experience in drainage design (culvert design, flood modelling, and pipe network design).
- Experience in applying Irish standards (TII, OPW, Uisce Eireann and others).
- Experience in drafting engineering reports and assessments.
- Experience in working as part of multi-disciplinary teams.
- Able to multi-task confidently, with excellent management and organisational skills required.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- A team player with the ability to work on own initiative, as required.
- Confident in using all Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of and demonstrable commitment to health and safety legislation and requirements.
- Full Driving License (preferable).
- Current right to work in the Republic of Ireland
- Competitive Salary commensurate with skills and experience (€45k to €57.5k).
- Entry onto CCC’s Early Career Salary Structure, where applicable.
- Annual Leave commencing at 22 days per annum pro rata and increasing over time to a maximum of 25 days.
