Mechanical Design Engineer

A leading energy solutions company is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer.

In this pivotal role, you will bridge mechanical design with shopfloor production—ensuring its products are designed, refined, and manufactured in a timely, repeatable, quality-controlled, and cost-effective manner. You will combine industrial design, industrialization, production management, and ERP optimization while closely coordinating with R&D, Procurement, Warehouse, and Production teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop new product designs, implement engineering changes, and deliver technical solutions tailored for the energy sector.
• Drive product standardization and industrialization to streamline manufacturing.
• Maintain and continuously improve Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and technical documentation.
• Translate design concepts into feasible production processes and resolve technical issues on the shopfloor.
• Organize and monitor production schedules, task prioritization, and workflow efficiency.
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks through seamless coordination with Procurement, Warehouse, and R&D.
• Track production times, operational costs, and overall manufacturing performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement (KAIZEN/Lean) and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Utilize ERP systems to track Work-in-Progress (WIP), material consumption, output, and operational data.
• Coordinate, guide, and support the production team on a daily basis.
• Champion a high standard of quality, operational safety, and professionalism across the shopfloor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Solid understanding of manufacturing techniques, assembly processes, and production flows.
• Hands-on experience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor) and familiarity with ERP systems/BOM structures.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
• 4+ years of proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proven experience in mechanical design, product development, or product industrialization.
• Experience in team leadership, ERP usage, and manufacturing data management will be considered a strong plus
