ES Systems is currently looking for motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join the engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a young engineer who is eager to learn and grow through hands-on involvement in product development. The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers to design mechanical systems and components, develop prototypes, and progressively acquire knowledge across the complete product development process.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical parts, assemblies, and enclosures using 3D CAD software
- Create and maintain detailed manufacturing drawings and engineering documentation
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical prototypes
- Perform engineering calculations and support structural and thermal analyses
- Participate in Finite Element Method (FEM) simulations for strength, deformation, and thermal performance
- Select appropriate materials based on mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing requirements
- Support prototype assembly, testing, evaluation, and design improvements
- Collaborate with electrical, electronics, and software engineers throughout the product development cycle
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturing partners regarding machining and fabrication processes
- Ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing, assembly, and long-term reliability
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Junior to mid-level engineering experience, or a recent graduate with strong academic performance and a passion for mechanical design
- Basic experience with FreeCAD or similar 3D CAD software
- Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering drawings
- Basic knowledge of machining processes and manufacturing methods
- Basic understanding of engineering materials and their mechanical and thermal properties
- Willingness to learn FEM analysis, thermal modelling, and advanced engineering design techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with higher-end CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, PTC Creo, Siemens NX, CATIA, or similar
- Basic experience with FEM analysis and thermal simulation software
- Familiarity with CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and additive manufacturing
- Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
- Experience in prototype development and product testing
