Senior Mechanical Engineer
📍 Greater Paris | 💰 €70,000–€90,000 | Relocation support available

Most engineers get hired to repeat what they already know how to do. This role is the opposite.
A NewSpace startup near Paris is building deployable hardware for spacecraft from a blank sheet. Everything is designed, built, and tested in-house, and every part has to work at real production volume, not just as a one-off.
We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join them and own real hardware end to end. The technology is spacecraft. The mindset they're hiring for isn't specific to it.
What matters more than a space background:
→ You've taken hardware from blank page to working reality more than once, in any industry
→ You reach for the textbook when you hit something unfamiliar, and actually work through it
→ You treat requirements as a starting point to question, not a fixed brief
→ You're curious before you're credentialed
A good fit looks like:
→ Strong CAD (CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks) and FEA, with hand calculations to back it up
→ Roughly 5+ years' experience, though what you've built matters more than the number
→ A track record with hardware built to survive harsh conditions
→ Genuinely driven, genuinely autonomous, comfortable without a rulebook
If most of your career has been executing someone else's finished spec, this probably isn't for you.
Space experience is a plus. It is not a requirement.
In return: equity and competitive pay, English as the working language, French lessons to help you settle in, and a small team where ownership is real, not a buzzword.
If you're the kind of engineer who takes something apart to understand it, get in touch.
